Leafy Greens Again

Nothing like removing the bird netting and harvesting a large basket full of leafy greens for the kitchen.

Harvested a cane basket full this morning, before the rain came down and we needed to make a run for the back door.

Yes it actually rained heavy enough for what seemed a long spell since the last rain we had. Even while having our lunch, we were listen to rain falling on the roof.

With the rain comes rest from using the watering can to water my vegie patch. Also before the bird netting goes back over this area, I'll give it a light weed and a feed of sheep manure tea, watered down. Talk about a power boost. mrgreen

Noticed the spring onions are starting to develop flower heads. This means more seeds for future sowing and harvests.

Look at those yummy spears cool already picked and packed ready for my sister & her hubby who are calling in this afternoon. Doing a trade.... 12 sweet, crisp & organic asparagus spears for some sheep manure. Not sure how much I am getting this afternoon, but I know it's more that 1 bag.

So like me, you too will have to wait to see how lucky "Lucky" is with her scoop on the poo

Until next time....hoo roo
