Fox Raid

Last Friday night a fox paid a visit and we lost Clancy & Roz (last 2 original ducks) and Bonnie & Clyde the 2 silky hens.

The only body not recovered was Clyde. Clancy, Roz & Bonnie were buried in the old raspberry area. This spring we are planning on planting a passion fruit vine there.

Saturday was not a good day here. I hadn't locked them away that night. You'll never know how much I regret this.

Lucky I'm so sorry about you losing your ducks and hens, it's tragic. Don't beat yourself up too much about it, too many people do the same thing, forget to lock them up.
I used to be a great opponent of fox-hunting when I was younger in the UK.
I don't feel like that any more, I hate them.

So sorry to hear about the fox. I'm sure you will always remember now. I have once or twice forgotten to put my girls away and I always send Hubby out to check in the morning just in case a fox has been.

Lucky, I am so sorry to read about your loss...poor animals...That makes me remember my grandma's chickens killed by a large python when I was a little girl. It was horrible finding their bodies in the morning. Hope that fox wont come back!!!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Ducks are about back to their usual mischievous selves.
