Finding Time To Blog

Been a while since I have blogged here. I have been so busy and you can see here and here. Plus also out the back.

Lets take a look at what Pat & I did the other day. Pat dig holes for the passion fruit and pepino. I did the rest.

Pat and I finally remembered to get a passion fruit and pepino vine for the people fence. After the last bout of hot weather here, we spent an evening out planting and mulching them and other parts of the garden.

This pepino is a little bit like rock melon in look and taste when cut open. I love them and this will be the second vine we have grown.

Decided to plant the pepino where that plum tree never took off. It'll look great growing over the people fence. Then after wards you can see we mulched the area and down in the no-dig area where broccoli will go in, once the hotter months are finished.

Top dressed the lemonade tree with chicken manure and peas straw and already it's showing new growth. The wooden boards are used to help the stop the tree burning on those very hot days. Works like a charm too.

Where the raspberries were a couple of years ago, is now the passion fruit vine area. It can grow like the wind here and not encroach into the vegie area. Also it'll give shade to the ducks and chooks on hot days.

I've done som other mulching in different areas, but thats another posting.

Until next time....hoo roo

P.S..... Percy has been on another adventure lol
